You can just ignore the ``Misc'' notebook panel (see figure 3.5).

The items on this panel are not tied to any action within Qba.
You can perform your aging of accounts by clicking the ``Aging''
icon or by just adding a Cron entry to invoke the
aging process at the end of each month. For more details on
aging, see the Aging section.
For backups, you should just create a little script that dumps the Qba database directory to a tape.
